To top it all off, I am pretty sure that I just lost my main HD. It looks too corrupt for me to save data off it, and it will most likely need to be reformatted to work again. I am going to end up losing all my writings, music, most of my pictures, all the webpage files for Black Moon Galleries, pretty much everything that meant anything to me is gone. I am depressed beyond words, and even the meds I have for times like these aren't helping. I feel lost now, more than ever.

What more could possibly go wrong?

So, things have been crazy lately. Fall semester is starting up among other things, and sometimes it feels like there is no time for anything but school and work.

Unfortunately, there is always time for other, sadder things.

My pet parakeet (or budgie, for those who use the term) passed away today after I got home from class. She hadn't been doing too well recently, especially after losing the use of a leg to an infection. She had been extra weak the past few days and spent most of her time in the food dish so she wouldn't have to make her way over there to eat. I held her and kept her company last night. She cuddled close, electing to spend her last night on this earth with me, which I am thankful for. I buried her with her favorite bell and the treats she liked the most.

I had her for about eight years, and she was always a constant source of happiness and joy for me. The emptiness that her loss has opened inside my soul will not soon be filled.

Rest in peace my small feathered friend. May you soar above the clouds for all eternity, and I will see you once again, when my time also comes.
